The poem I (Maia) wrote entitled Red Koolaid (insert "registered trademark" symbol after Koolaid) is what I gave to Nathan to turn into a song.
It reads as follows:

I have been waiting
to be there for you.

I have been waiting
to help you through.

I have been waiting
to be that friend

of perfect,
sugary,
flavorful blend.

Nathan and Amber added the rest, which I believe is "red Koolaid, sweet as can be, like the friendship between you and me."
